Konto at the 2026 Housing Fair — A Bold Pop of Color on the Ceiling at Saikan Villatuokio Show Home

At this summer’s Housing Fair, Konto delivered a distinctive and visually striking acoustic concept for the Saikan Villatuokio home. The ceilings were finished with Konto acoustic panels — not in the traditional natural light tones, but in bold, carefully selected colors, chosen to match each room’s atmosphere, light and interior design.

This installation became one of the most talked‑about acoustic solutions at the fair: a natural material paired with a strong color palette in a way that highlighted both the character of the spaces and the versatility of Konto’s products.

Bold Use of Color—Natural Materials in a New Light

Each ceiling was finished in a tone that reinforced the identity of the room:

• dark, deep shades for the bedrooms

• warm, soft shades for the living areas

• light, light-enhancing shades for the children’s rooms

Colored peat boards demonstrated that acoustics can be more than just a technical solution—it can be a design choice that influences the atmosphere of a space just as much as lighting or materials.
