Pelle Hermanni’s park

Pori’s first green roofs were built in Pelle Hermanni’s park. Roofs increase park’s pleasentness. At the same time they insulate during winter season and cool during summer period. Plants utilize also drainage waters thus helping with flood fighting.
Green roofs’ appearance is constantly changing according to seasons.
 
Pelle Hermanni’s park’s green roofs have been built and designed by city of Pori’s puistotoimi together with local companies. Konto Oy has supplied material to the green roof.
