Venice Biennale: Mind-Building

Venice Biennale refers to the International Architecture Exhibition that opened to the public May 26, 2018 in Venice, Italy. Venice Biennale is the world’s biggest exhibition for showcasing architecture and it has been organized since 1980. This year Finland is participating in the Venice Biennale with the “Mind-Building exhibition” and Konto Acoustics among others is one of the partners.

The Mind-Building exhibition, which has received extensive international media attention, opened for media and invitees on Thursday, May 24. This exhibition presenting Finnish library architecture was opened by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education and Culture Anita Lehikoinen and the Mayor of Helsinki Jan Vapaavuori. Until the end of November, the Architecture Information Centre Finland (Archinfo) is responsible for the open exhibition.

Konto’s role in the Mind-Building exhibition has been to provide the Alvar Aalto Pavilion with printed artistic walls and a podium made of Konto’s acoustic panels. Only a couple of companies from Finland got the chance to participate in this big event and we are grateful to be one of those.
